Lens Blog Photo
1. This was taken with a fast shutter speed. The moving truck on the right side has clear wheels frozen in motion, focused not blurry.
2. A rule of composition is color. The trucks are boldly painted - red, blue, white, green - while the world around them, like the sky or road, is grayish, providing a dramatic contrast.
3. An element of art is line. The trucks and the road lead from the bottom of the photo all the way to the top, farther back into the distance.
4. A principle of design is movement. My eye starts at the bottom center of the photo, the guard railing, and follows it back to the upper part of the photo, taking in the trucks on the side along the way.
